How easy is it to restore files?

If at any time you need to retrieve a copy of your data, be it a single file or your entire hard drive, simply press the "Restore" button on the Depositit software and watch your information immediately return.

You can also restore to any machine so if your computer is stolen, simply get access to a new one, install the Depositit software and you can retrieve your information immediately.

How secure is it?

All your files are encrypted prior to transfer, and once the data arrives on the Depositit servers it is further encrypted. Only you (the customer) has the encryption key, hence no one at Q A Computing, Depositit (or elsewhere) is able to access or view the information stored there.

For example with Depositit you can save your documents, emails, databases, spreadsheets, digital images, music files, scanned information and any other files you select, even the network (server) in your office! Depositit is the most efficient and safest solution for backing up the data stored on any computer, keeping copies in 3 completely secure and independent remote locations.

Depositit offers 2 storage standard packages:

* Standard Business Package: 4gb of storage for just £120.00 pa

* Light User package: 500mb of storage for just £60.00 pa

Additional storage is available, and the solution will automatically provide this, when required.

Depositit's standard (4gb) business package provides the equivalent storage capacity of approximately 6 CD Roms which equates to over half a million A4 pages of text (not scanned).

We recommend that businesses subscribe to the standard package, and if you need extra storage capacity, the system will automatically upgrade your account. For those requiring less storage, subscribe to the Light User package which provides the equivalent of 350 floppy disks or 62,000 A4 text pages (not scanned).

Note: Depositit compresses all files prior to transfer, and Depositit's packages are based on compressed storage. This means that 2,000mb of compressed data stored on our servers may equal as much as 4,000mb on your computer (our 4gb package), the next upgrade provides 3,750mb which may allow up to 7,500mb of storage.

Compression will vary, depending on the type of files backed up - word/excel documents compress very well whereas digital images do not.
